Asia Pacific’s cloud infrastructure footprint has continued to expand, with the number of availability zones rising from 65 in 2017 to 160 in 2026 as cloud and AI workloads drive demand for computing capacity.
With hyperscalers committing billions to new capacity across the region, investors and developers are assessing where the next wave of growth will emerge and how to navigate the power, land and construction challenges that come with it. Mingtiandi’s panel on 20 October will examine these dynamics with senior executives from CPP Investments, AirTrunk and Baker McKenzie.
Hari Krishna V, managing director of real estate at CPP Investments, joins the discussion following the firm’s commitments of up to INR 70 billion ($742 million) to a digital infrastructure partnership with India’s CtrlS Datacenters and a further $1.3 billion to Ares Management’s data centre partnership in Japan.
Also joining the panel is Darren Ansell, senior director of real estate at AirTrunk, following the company’s $3 billion investment in two new hyperscale campuses in Malaysia. Baker McKenzie partner Edwin Wong will also take part, bringing experience advising on data centre transactions across Asia Pacific.
