Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.46% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the gained 0.46%.

The best performers of the session on the were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which rose 2.89% or 0.28 points to trade at 9.78 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (ELI:) added 1.72% or 0.06 points to end at 3.54 and Semapa (ELI:) was up 1.48% or 0.20 points to 13.74 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:), which fell 2.97% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.23 at the close. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 0.39% or 0.07 points to end at 18.08 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) was down 0.15% or 0.03 points to 16.49.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.99% or 0.72 to $71.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.98% or 0.68 to hit $68.78 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 13.09 to trade at $2,632.01 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 107.78.
