Chad Goodman joins as Head of Eastern & Central Region Credit to lead opportunistic credit originations across the Eastern and Central U.S.
DALLAS, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Canyon Partners Real Estate LLC (“Canyon”) today announced that Chad Goodman has joined the firm as Head of Eastern & Central Region Credit. Based in New York, he will lead opportunistic real estate credit originations across the Eastern and Central regions of the United States, further expanding Canyon’s sourcing and lending capabilities in key markets nationwide.
Mr. Goodman brings more than two decades of real estate credit and investing experience, most recently serving as Managing Director at Related Fund Management, where he was responsible for the management and origination of whole loans, b-notes, mezzanine loans and preferred equity to borrowers across the U.S. pursuing opportunistic and transitional business plans.
Previously, Mr. Goodman spent nearly 12 years at Westport Capital Partners, where he was responsible for the investment and asset management of real estate investments across asset classes and geographies. Earlier in his career, he held several roles at Bear Stearns focused on mortgage-backed securities and structured products.

Mr. Goodman’s appointment builds on Canyon’s continued investment in its real estate platform in the past two years. The firm recently appointed Scott Swisher as Managing Director, Head of Western Region Credit Originations; Adam Ostrowsky as Managing Director, Capital Markets; and Scott San Filippo as Senior Director, Bridge Debt. Together, these appointments have expanded Canyon’s senior investment team and strengthened its capabilities across both credit and equity strategies nationwide.
