Acres.com, a Fayetteville-based land intelligence platform, said Wednesday (Sept. 23) it has launched a new product that provides a nationwide view of supply, pricing, and demand across any housing market. It has invested “seven figures” in building the technology and datasets over the past three to four years.
Homebuilder Market Intelligence brings together Acres datasets to provide a view of U.S. housing growth in a single dashboard. The product covers more than 1,000 U.S. metro and micropolitan areas and over 3,000 U.S. counties, drawing on more than 155 million parcel records and 60 million land transactions.
According to the company, it has spent the past three to four years developing the new product and the datasets, with a particular focus on entity unmasking to better understand which parent companies own real estate across the United States.
Asked how it differs from its existing products, Acres provided the following statement: “Homebuilder Market Intelligence offers an entirely new look at the path of growth around the U.S. Whether you are building homes, developing commercial real estate, or planning for a city, having visibility into where physical growth is occurring and where it may head next is invaluable.”
According to a news release, “Closings show where housing activity has occurred, but they don’t show where it’s headed next. Homebuilder Market Intelligence expands that view by incorporating signals such as unmasked land and lot transfers, platting activity, builder pipeline, listings, pricing strategies, economic growth and household financial conditions. Together, these indicators provide forward-looking intelligence on where builders are acquiring land, where development activity is accelerating, and how local conditions may shape future demand.”
For land and development staff, the broader view supports earlier, more informed decisions on market entry, land acquisition, competitive activity, and the market’s growth path, the release shows.
“Real estate is local, but access to quality market intelligence has historically been uneven,” said Carter Malloy, CEO of Acres.com. “When smaller and fast-growing markets are easier to understand, they become easier to invest in. Homebuilder Market Intelligence is designed to bring greater transparency to those markets, helping attract more capital, increase competition, and ultimately support healthier housing markets across the U.S.”
Homebuilder Market Intelligence is available on Acres.com. According to the company, the new product is available as a subscription, with pricing based on customer needs.
Acres.com has 70 full-time employees, including 13 remote workers.
