Since opening its doors in 2007, Newton Financial Solutions, LLC has continued to grow, and is celebrating its latest milestone with the opening of their new office building located at 512 Main St. S., Cambridge.
The new 7,500 square foot building was constructed by BJ Baas Builders of Cambridge, and opened in June. Previously, Newton Financial Solutions was located just south of their current building at 600 Main St. S.
Newtown Financial Solutions was founded by Tim Newton, and his son John Newton, when they decided to pursue their dream of running a joint practice in the financial services industry. Newton Financial Solutions is licensed in 23 different states and offers many wealth management services such as financial and retirement planning, business planning, estate planning, insurance planning, risk management, college savings, as well as accounting and tax services such as tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll services, and financial projects and forecasts.
Newton said he has always run his practice reflecting on the heart of their vision statement that focuses o helping good stewards grow and sustain their wealth.

We have lots of people that are just starting their first Roth IRA and adding $150 a month or whatever they have, and then we have clients who have a very high net worth.”
Newton explained when the company opened it started with himself, his son John, and three assistants. Currently the company has 17 employees, along with three employees who work remotely.
“I think we have something just shy of 2,000 different households of people that we serve,” Newton said. “The funny thing is that we’ve never had a growth goal. We go to lots of seminars and classes and always you’re supposed to start the year out with specific goals for growth and something. It’s just never been on our agenda because the whole thing is about just serving those people; just serve them, serve them well, and growth kind of takes care of itself.”
The idea of needing a bigger office building began in 2022, and construction on their new building began in September 2025.
“I bought this lot some years ago. This was part of a three-lot subdivision, planned unit development they call it, but there was nobody on here and I put solar panels on here,” Newton said. “And then when the idea of the building came along, we said, well, we have a lot, so we took the solar panels down and they’re on the roof now.”
