Her leadership extends to supervising a 17-member team, including staff across several departments to include accounting, accounts payable, central travel desk, and accounting information systems. She plays an active role in the presentation of financial reports for the data processing center and limited partnerships, oversees the financial reporting for a foundation dedicated to financial literacy, and participates in the Asset-Liability Committee meetings. She also works closely with external auditors and regulators throughout the year, while contributing accounting expertise to new organizational initiatives.
Ms. Guzman’s career is characterized by her dedication to professional development and industry engagement. She is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is one of only three Certified Public Accountants (CPA) at First National Bank Texas—an achievement that highlights her commitment to excellence and leadership within the institution.
Ms. Guzman’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Sam Houston State University in 1998. She later pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration in banking and financial support services from the same institution, graduating in 2024.
