KUWAIT: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has launched the third cohort of NBK Tech Academy, reaffirming its longstanding commitment to investing in Kuwaiti human capital and advancing its efforts to attract, develop and equip young national talent with the capabilities required to meet the evolving demands of the digital economy and contribute to the Bank’s digital transformation and future growth. NBK Tech Academy is Kuwait’s first academy of its kind dedicated to digital technologies and data systems.
Designed specifically for recent graduates in technology-related disciplines, the Academy equips participants with the technical and professional skills needed to build successful careers in an increasingly fast-paced and continuously evolving technology landscape. The program reflects NBK’s vision to develop future-ready national talent capable of keeping pace with rapid technological advancements. It delivers an integrated development experience that combines specialized learning, hands-on training, real-world applications and direct exposure to the workplace, helping bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the evolving requirements of the labor market.
Spanning six months, the program provides participants with intensive training across a broad range of contemporary technology disciplines, including FinTech, data analytics, technology ethics, cybersecurity, digital payments fundamentals, digital innovation, artificial intelligence and coding. It also covers core business and finance concepts for participants without a financial background, ensuring the program remains aligned with the accelerating transformation reshaping the global banking industry.

The program also places strong emphasis on developing the professional and interpersonal skills that are essential to the success of young talent, including teamwork and team building, analytical thinking, project and change management, results orientation, communication and presentation skills, customer service, professional productivity, work ethics and continuous learning. Participants also gain practical experience across various departments of the Bank, providing them with first-hand exposure to the modern banking environment and the latest digital applications used across the industry. This hands-on experience helps strengthen their professional readiness and enables them to translate academic knowledge into practical, value-adding capabilities.
