Cancun, Q.R. — State officials have shut down a real estate development office found operating without permits. The office, located in central Cancun, was found selling lots without permits or licenses. The office was seized after a complaint was filed by the head of the Ecology Department of Benito Juárez.

According to the State Attorney General (FGE), in coordination with the Municipal Police, they executed a search warrant for the offices of a real estate development located in a commercial plaza in Supermanzana 15A.
Initial investigations by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office indicate that the commercial lot project, located in the Alfredo V. Bonfil ejido, was seized after the city’s ecology department filed a complaint.
Authorities seized the property for a lack of permits, licenses and authorization for its construction and commercialization.

Furthermore, the company promoted and publicized the sale of the lots without having the corresponding documentation.
During the execution of the court order, agents located documentation related to the project along with computer equipment, electronic devices, cameras, recording equipment, propaganda, advertising material, mock-ups and physical models.
The real estate office was secured and placed under the custody of the office of the State Attorney General (FGE).
