Providers will be able to offer targeted support free of charge to clients if they wish to, the FCA has confirmed today.
The targeted support regime will allow providers to give suggestions to their customers about their options based on answers to a limited number of questions.
A consultation published this morning set out how the regime will look when it comes into action in 2026. Firms that offer the service will be able to make limited specific recommendations, such as telling someone to increase their pension contributions.
