Boca Raton, FL – April 10, 2026 – The City of Boca Raton’s Financial Services Department continues to set a high standard for excellence, earning both state and national recognition for the outstanding work of its Purchasing Division and Office of Management & Budget.

The City’s Purchasing Division has once again received the 2026 Award of Excellence in Public Procurement from the Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials. In addition, the Office of Management & Budget has been awarded the 2026 Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for the 43rd consecutive year. This prestigious national recognition highlights the team’s work producing a budget document that serves as a clear, transparent, and effective policy and financial planning tool. And for the second consecutive year, the team also received special recognition in both Performance Measures and Strategic Goals & Strategies, underscoring the City’s continued focus on accountability, long-range planning, and measurable results.

“These recognitions reflect the professionalism and high standards our Financial Services team brings to their work every day,” said Jim Zervis, Boca Raton’s Deputy City Manager & Chief Financial Officer. “It’s rewarding to see our efforts to excel in fiscal responsibility, public transparency, and accountability recognized at both the state and national levels.”

The awards reinforce Boca Raton’s long-standing commitment to operational excellence and sound financial management in service to residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
