The case for digital identities must be reframed as an everyday convenience if the UK is to deliver on the promise of open finance, experts have warned. A panel of open banking verification specialists said that progress could falter without a sharper focus on consumer value, trust and governance.
Speaking at a debate on ‘Unlocking data mobility across finance’, specialists from Barclays and NatWest acknowledged the industry is still struggling to communicate the technology’s value to the public.
