Calling the EM commodity fund inflows “one of the strongest recoveries since 2020,” an Elara Capital report reflected that the last major inflow cycle between July 2020 and March 2022 coincided with a sharp rally in Indian metal stocks. Analysts at Elara believe a similar pattern appears to be emerging since July 2025.
Emerging market (EM) commodity funds attracted record inflows of $1.14 billion this week, as renewed optimism around China’s recovery lifted demand for metals and raw materials, according to the latest fund flow data.
