Homes in Taylor County sold for higher prices recently: See how much here

Newly released data from Realtor.com for March shows that potential buyers and sellers in Taylor County saw higher home sale prices than the previous month’s median of $225,000.

The median home sold for $228,125, an analysis of data from Realtor.com shows. That means March, the most recent month for which figures are available, was up 1.4% from February.

Compared to March 2024, the median home sales price was up 4.6% compared to $218,175.

Realtor.com sources sales data from real estate deeds, resulting in a few months’ delay in the data. The statistics don’t include homes currently listed for sale and aren’t directly comparable to listings data.

Here is a breakdown on median sale prices:

  • Looking only at single-family homes, the $226,403 median selling price in Taylor County was slightly up in March from $225,000 the month prior. Since March 2024, the sales price of single-family homes was up 3.8% from a median of $218,175.No single-family homes sold for $1 million or more during the month.
  • Condominiums and townhomes increased by 668.4% in sales price during March to a median of $455,300 from $59,256 in February. Compared to March 2024, the sales price of condominiums and townhomes was down 27.2% from $625,000. No condominiums or townhomes sold for $1 million or more during March.

About recorded home sales in Taylor County in Texas

In March, the number of recorded sales in Taylor County dropped by 2.1% since March 2024 — from 242 to 237. All residential home sales totaled $41.2 million.

Across Texas, homes sold at a median of $320,869 during March, a slight increase from $318,961 in February. There were 39,486 recorded sales across the state during March, down 9.5% from 43,622 recorded sales in March 2024. 

Here’s a breakdown for the full state:

  • The total value of recorded residential home sales in Texas increased by 26.4% from $6.6 billion in February to $8.4 billion this March. 
  • Out of all residential home sales in Texas, 0.47% of homes sold for at least $1 million in March, up from 0.08% in March 2024.
  • Sales prices of single-family homes across Texas slightly increased from a median of $320,045 in February to $322,091 in March. Since March 2024, the sales price of single-family homes across the state was down 2.8% from $331,286. 
  • Across the state, the sales price of condominiums and townhomes slightly dropped from a median of $298,750 in February to $297,193 during March. The median sales price of condominiums and townhomes is down 10.8% from the median of $333,114 in March 2024. 

The median home sales price used in this report represents the midway point of all the houses or units listed over the given period of time. The median offers a more accurate view of what’s happening in a market than the average sales price, which would mean taking the sum of all sales prices then dividing by the number of homes sold.
