The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 262.3 points down at 24011.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 817.8 points at 79517.01 at around 11:06AM.
Titan Company Ltd.(up 3.71%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 3.06%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 2.94%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.76%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.63%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.86%), State Bank of India(up 0.79%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.34%), Wipro Ltd.(up 0.33%) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.13%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.96%), NTPC Ltd.(down 2.53%), Trent Ltd.(down 2.52%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.43%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 2.42%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 2.15%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 2.08%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.99%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.85%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.84%) were trading in the red.
