UK recruiter PageGroup to slash costs by $19 million after earnings dip

British recruiter PageGroup announced a 15-million-pound ($19.3 million) cost reduction programme on Wednesday, but did not issue a financial forecast, after reporting a 9% drop in first-quarter earnings on uncertain global economic conditions.
