MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – With the stock market showing a downward trend, investors are worried about how their stocks will be impacted.
According to Chris Hall, the founder and CEO of Hall Financial Advisors, the stock market is a way to invest in public companies and participate in the growth of those public companies.
The stock market is currently fluctuating due to tariffs implemented by the Trump administration. The markets were anticipating some form of tariffs, but the market had a hard time understanding the impact President Trump’s wide sweeping tariffs may have.
Hall said the time to invest is when the stock market drops.
“I’ve been doing this for 26 years and each time that we’ve seen the stock market drop like we have seen it recently, folks that have invested have been rewarded. And in fact, if you look back 6 to 12 months, many folks wish they had bought more. We expect that to be the case this time as well,” said Hall.
Despite the stock market seeing a downward trend, the bond market has increased. Hall recommends investing in both for the best financial reward.
