BOSTON–Greatland Realty Partners and Barings announced that TreeFrog Therapeutics, a French-based biotech company specializing in cell therapy, will join Cambridgeport Labs, leasing 13,488 square feet.

TreeFrog Therapeutics is dedicated to advancing cell therapies to improve access to life-saving treatments for millions of patients worldwide.

“To make Cambridgeport Labs our US headquarters site is a major step in TreeFrog’s global strategy,” said Kevin Alessandri, Co-founder of TreeFrog Therapeutics and President & Executive Director of TreeFrog US. “This new space, along with the proximity to world-class research and innovative companies in East Cambridge, will help us expand our operations, and accelerate and deepen our interactions with the existing and future partners within the Boston eco-system .”

Cambridgeport Labs, acquired by Greatland Realty Partners and Barings in 2022, includes two buildings with a total of 56,000 square feet of lab and office space located at 167 Sidney Street and 99 Erie Street. This lease marks TreeFrog Therapeutics’ transition from an incubator space in Kendall Square to their own dedicated lab and office, joining East Cambridge’s thriving life sciences ecosystem.

“East Cambridge is a global center for life sciences, and we are proud to welcome TreeFrog Therapeutics to Cambridgeport Labs as our first tenant,” said Teri Ford, Principal at Greatland Realty Partners. “We look forward to supporting their work to advance accessible therapies for patients worldwide.”

“We’re pleased to welcome TreeFrog Therapeutics to Cambridgeport Labs and are proud to provide high-quality differentiated workspaces that attract innovative companies like TreeFrog, who are driving economic growth and advancements in healthcare,” said Christopher Cassella, a Managing Director at Barings.

In the transaction, Newmark represented Greatland and Barings, and Colliers represented TreeFrog Therapeutics.
