
The Canadian wealth management house makes a number of appointments in Singapore and Hong Kong.
RBC
Wealth Management has made a number of hires in the
Asia-Pacific market.
Daniel Soo has joined RBC in Singapore as managing director and
market head. Soo has 28 years of experience in the banking and
financial services industry covering the Southeast Asia and
Greater China markets. He is joining from UBS, where he was
MD and market team head; previously, Soo was at Credit Suisse and
Standard Chartered Private Bank.
Lawrence Yap has also joined RBC in Singapore as an executive
director. Prior to RBC, Yap spent eight years at Credit Suisse
and has held senior positions at Standard Chartered Private Bank
and HSBC Private Bank.
The firm has also added hires in Hong Kong.
Joe Lau is named as executive director and team head, bringing
more than 25 years’ experience in the banking industry across
Hong Kong, Singapore, China and the US. He is joining from Credit
Suisse, where he was a director and team leader, Greater China
Market.
Sarah Tan is also appointed as executive director. She was most
recently at EFG Bank as an executive director and brings 25 years
of private banking experience in Hong Kong, Singapore and
Switzerland.
Another joiner is Ada Wang, ED. Wang, who was previously director
for wealth management at Credit Suisse, has more than 20
years’ banking sector experience.
Other hires:
Christy Yuan, ED has spent over 25 years in the private
banking and wealth management industry covering Greater China
markets. She is joining from Credit Suisse in Hong Kong
where she was a director.
Danny Zhao, director has more than 17 years of experience in
the private banking industry across Greater China. Most recently,
he was a vice president at Credit Suisse.
